The commercial location of Raffles Place was first Established in 1832. Raffles Place was initially known as Commercial Square before being renamed as Raffles Place in 1858.
Raffles Place is the historic heart of the Singapore CBD. Historically, the area was home to older buildings with floor plates of around 8,000 – 14,000 sf. The situation has changed in recent years following the completion of buildings such as CapitaSpring and CapitaGreen. These buildings brought high-spec, Grade A options to the area.
The majority of buildings in the area are linked to Raffles Place MRT (Red and Green Line) as well as being within walking distance of Telok Ayer (Blue Line) and Downtown Stations (Blue Line). The area benefits from access to numerous major bus routes.
